Cedar Falls utility worker struck by car

A utility worker is in the hospital after an accident in northeast Iowa. Police say a Cedar Falls Utilities crewman was injured Sunday when he was struck by a passing vehicle while on a service call.

Steve Johnson was transported to Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls for treatment of injuries. Officials aren’t saying how the accident happened or if charges will be filed. The mishap occurred at an intersection on the northern edge of the city. The accident remains under investigation.
