An Iowa State second-half rally fell short against Oklahoma as the Cyclones lost 68-63, in the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Iowa State led only once in the ballgame, 56-55 with just over four minutes remaining, but Oklahoma regained the lead and wouldn’t give it up down the stretch.

Junior Rahshon Clark says the second half comeback showed how the team played throughout the year. He says the team never gave up and they had a lot of people contribute. Clark says he wishes they could have extended the season for the seniors.

It was Greg McDermott’s first season as head coach and Clark says they’ll come back next year with more experience. Clark says,"It’s going to be a whole new ballgame." Clark says the new players coming in should mix well with the returning players who’ll have the experience to bring them along. Mike Taylor led the Cyclones with 18 points, Wesley Johnson had 11 points and Dodie Dunson chipped in 10. The Cyclones end the season at 15-16 overall.
