Oskaloosa woman charged with giving toddler son cocaine

March 8, 2007 By admin

A southeast Iowa woman is jailed after allegedly putting a highly-addictive illegal drug on her toddler’s tongue. An Oskaloosa woman has been charged with giving cocaine to her 18-month-old son.

Mahaska County Sheriff’s officers and Oskaloosa police arrested 21-year-old Alicia Boyd-Reynolds on Wednesday. She is charged with giving the child cocaine in December of 2006 or January 2007 and failing to seek medical attention after the incident. Court documents indicate others were present when the cocaine was allegedly given to the child.

If convicted, of all charges, she faces up to 35 years in prison. The investigation continues and other charges may be filed.
