The Iowa State Patrol has released the details on a chase Tuesday that left the driver facing numerous charges. The chase began on Interstate 35 at the Iowa-Minnesota line Tuesday morning with deputies from the State Patrol, Cerro Gordo and Franklin counties.

The car was operating without headlights and offices say the chase reached speeds of 128 miles-an-hour before the car lost control in Wright County and rolled into the median. The driver then allegedly resisted arrest.

The man is identified as 21-year-old Ahmed Hassan, a native of Somalia. Hassan suffered minor injuries, was treated and then taken to the Wright County jail in Clarion. Hassan faces several charges, including:operating while intoxicated, three counts of assaulting a police officer, and traffic offenses.
