Iowa State faces third-seeded and 14th-ranked Georgia tonight in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Cyclones advanced with a 79-60 win over 11th seeded Washington Saturday, and coach Bill Fennelly says it’s been a good experience thus far.

Fennelly says besides his wife and two boys, there’s nothing more important than seeing his team in the NCAA Tournament. He says there should be another good turnout as people head up I-35 for the game. Fennelly says people are getting home from Spring break and are making one more road trip to see the team.

The Cyclones made it to the championship game of the Big 12 Tournament prior to the NCAA’s and Fennelly says his team is peaking at the right time. He says the team is playing very well, and has been doing that in the last several weeks against different styles of play, winning nine of their last ten games. Fennelly says they’re healthy and playing like they haven’t played in awhile and hopefully they have one more game in them.

ISU senior forward Megan Ronhovde says Georgia is one of the top teams in the nation. She says they have a winning tradition and are very physical, and handling their pressure will be key. Ronhovde says every game in the NCAA tournament is tough. Ronhovde says as you advance into the tournament, there’s very little room for error and you have to play well on both ends of the floor. Iowa State plays Georgia at six o’clock tonight.
