Fort Dodge man faces drug charges

April 2, 2007 By admin

A 35-year-old Fort Dodge is facing a number of drug-related charges after an alleged meth lab was found in his apartment. Scott Kempker is facing charges of a felony charge of possession of precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, the possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Kempker is scheduled to make an appearance today in Webster County Magistrate Court in Fort Dodge.

On Sunday morning, Fort Dodge Police received a tip from a concerned resident of a suspicious smell coming from an apartment occupied by Kempker. Neighbors near the apartment were evacuated for several hours Sunday as Fort Dodge Police, firemen and the Division of Criminal Investigation removed chemicals used in the making of methamphetamine.
