Former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack has taken on another part-time job. After he dropped out of the presidential race in February, Vilsack signed on to be a visiting professor at Drake’s Law School and to be a consultant for MidAmerican Energy.

Now, he’s signed up to work about three days a week on legal cases. Vilsack will be working out of the Des Moines office of the Dorsey & Whitney law firm.  The firm is based in Minneapolis and has 19 branch offices around the world.

Vilsack took the job after chatting about it with former Vice President Walter Mondale, who works on international cases for the firm.

Vilsack and his wife, Christie, moved into an apartment in Des Moines after the former governor left office in early January. Vilsack says the couple will still retain their home in Mount Pleasant.
