Clarke College softball team off to good start

April 16, 2007 By admin

The month of April has been a good one for the Clarke College softball team. The Crusaders were 6-8 at the end of March but since then have won 11 of their last 12 heading into Tuesday’s matchup against Wisconsin-Platteville.

Coach Cara Clark says the pitching has been solid early on, but the offense has really turned things around. The Crusaders have also been winning the close games and Clark says solid defense has been a big part of that. She says they’re playing be best defense they have in several years, and that has kept them in games.

Clark says the winning streak has boosted the confidence of her team, as she says it is contagious. The Crusaders are 17-9 on the season.
