Drake wraps up season with Spring game

April 20, 2007 By admin

Spring football at Drake comes to a close on Saturday as the Bulldogs host an intrasquad game. Drake coach Rob Ash says it won’t be real long as they don’t have a lot of depth. Ash says the Blue team of the first offense and the first defense will play the white team of the second offense and second defense. The White team will start with a 21-point lead.

Ash says he likes ending spring practice with a game, as that makes it exciting for everyone. They have a parents barbecue and have recruits in. Drake opens the 2007 season at Illinois State on August 30th.
