Police in eastern Iowa wound up undercovering two separate "nests" of drugs during a visit to a motel.  Marion police were dispatched to the Marion Motel on a complaint that a guest there was violating a non-contact order.

By the time the cops left the motel on Tuesday, they’d arrested five people. Police arrested a woman from Cedar Rapids who was inside one of the rooms and she’s been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

A woman from Davenport’s charged with having a controlled substance. And John Dean of Marion was arrested and charged with violating that no-contact order. Police brought a drug-sniffing dog onto the property and the dog led cops to another room where they arrested two men — one was from Chicago, the other from Cedar Rapids. Both face marijuana possession charges.
