A Clear Lake woman is charged in Canada with fraud, theft, breach of trust and forgery related to her former real estate business in British Columbia. Cheryl Moseley, known in Canada under the name of Cheryl King, used to be employed at the McQuaid Agency in Clear Lake until last month. Canada Crown Counsel attorney Steve Lawhead says Mosley’s trial is slated to start on June 11th at the Kamloops Supreme Court.

Charges were filed against Moseley after an investigation into business affairs of her former business in Kamloops, with court documents saying she committed fraud in excess of $5,000 between May 1999 and December 2001 and left debts and missing trust funds totaling more than $700,000. Several trial dates have been postponed due to health problems Moseley has suffered since a December 2004 accident.
