Suspect in Ottumwa bar shooting still being sought

A manhunt is underway after a weekend shooting in a downtown Ottumwa bar left two men injured

Police say at about 12:12 Sunday morning, police responded to a report of shots fired inside Scooter’s Sports Bar on East Main Street.

Officers found 26-year-old Dean Basilio and 34-year-old Georgie Pineda, both of Ottumwa, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to a local hospital and Pineda was later airlifted to University Hospitals in Iowa City. No condition report is being released on either victim.

The suspect is identified as Edwin Ramos of Ottumwa. He’s described as five-foot-eight, 320 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. Ramos is wanted on two counts of attempted murder.
