American Idol audition coming to Omaha

Wanna-be singing stars in western Iowa should start warming up now. Omaha will be one of seven cities hosting American Idol auditions this year. Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson will be in Omaha on August 10th for the auditions which will be held at the Qwest Center.

Thousands are expected to audition. Those wanting to take part will have to sign up in advance. The other cities selected include San Diego, Dallas, Atlanta, Charleston, Miami and Philadelphia.
