Pro-am kicks off start of John Deere Classic

July 9, 2007 By admin

Action leading up to Thursday’s start of the John Deere Classic near the Quad Cities begins, today, with a pro-am at the TPC at Deere Run. A field of 155 golfers will tee off in the opening round and that includes defending champion John Senden from Australia. He tied for 40th at the [email protected] National over the weekend.

The John Deere Classic is known for having a number of first time champions and Senden says winning on the PGA Tour gives a player a new sense of confidence. Reigning Masters champion Zach Johnson is also in the field.
