Hailey Bickford, Maquoketa

The freshman pitcher and shortstop had a big week on the mound and at the plate. Bickford had a 3-1 record and in 24 innings of work struck out 35 batters. At the plate, she batted .410, had five doubles, a home run, 10 RBIs and scored 11 runs. In a 2-1 victory over Northeast Goose Lake, Bickford was two-of-three with a double, a stolen base and scored a run. She also earned the victory on the mound and yielded only one run and struck out 11 batters.
