Spencer company changes plans to move jobs to Mexico

The Eaton Corporation of Spencer has decided to change plans to send some jobs to Mexico. A news release from the company says the hydraulics operation has told their employees their jobs will be in Spencer for the foreseeable future.

Eaton was planning to move the heavy duty test operations and assembly to Mexico by the fourth quarter of this year. Spencer plant manager Randy James says there have been increases in orders which allows them to improve efficiencies keep the product line in Spencer.

Company officials say all operations are under constant review nationwide and they won’t promise the Spencer operation will never be moved. The plant has 459 employees.
