Boys found after getting lost in Backbone State Park

Some eastern Iowa boys have a story to tell about a trip that didn’t go they way they expected. It was a happy ending for the three boys who became lost over the weekend at a northeast Iowa park.

The three boys got lost Sunday afternoon at Backbone State Park near Strawberry Point. Park employees, along with police offices, sheriff’s deputies and firefighters searched for the three boys. Two were found a short time later by Dundee firemen, the third boy eventually arrived back in a canoe. The boys were not injured and their names were not released.
