Victims identified in Plymouth County accident

The Plymouth County Sheriff has released the names of two people who were killed in separate weekend traffic accidents. A Lake Norden, South Dakota, woman was killed early Saturday. Seventy-eight-year-old Fern Nielson was hit by a car while walking away from her car which was parked on a bridge following an earlier accident. A LeMars teenager was killed Saturday night in a one-vehicle accident east of LeMars.

Sixteen-year-old Tamara Mansfield was a rear seat passenger in an S-U-V that went out of control and rolled. Mansfield was ejected from the vehicle. The driver, 16-year-old Mariya Sitzmann of rural Hinton, and Mansfield’s sister, Tiffany, were belted in and escaped serious injury.
