Semi, pick-up collide in Spencer

August 16, 2007 By admin

A Spirit Lake man was killed Wednesday when his pickup collided with a semi-truck in Spencer.

Authorities say 49-year-old Jerome Schueller from Primghar pulled out in front of a pickup driven by 61-year-old Donald Willis at the intersection of Highways 18 and 71. Willis was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clay County Medical Examiner.

Schueller was cited for failing to yield from a stop sign, inoperative brakes, and false log information.
