An inmate in the Clinton County jail was found dead yesterday morning. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is now investigating the death of a Clinton County inmate. Twenty-one-year old Michael Butt of Clinton was found dead early Friday morning. He was being held on third degree burglary charges. The Clinton County Sheriff’s office does not suspect foul play. The state medical examiner’s office is also investigating.
