Former Iowa linebacker continues battling injury in NFL

August 29, 2007 By admin

Former Iowa linebacker Abdul Hodge may have his second season with the Green Bay Packers end before the season opener. Hodge is headed to New York to get a second opinion on his ailing knees. It may require season ending surgery.

Hodge says it has been up and down, and is something he has to take care of.Hodge says he has battled the problem for a while, as he played through it last year. But he says the more he stays on it, the worse the injury gets.

Hodge may end up being placed on the injured reserved list which would end his season. He says the most important thing is to be healthy and to do what it takes to get to 100 percent. Hodge started one game for the Packers during his rookie season.
