August 29, 2007 By admin

Phillip Kron A southeast Iowa man who’s been missing since Sunday has been found dead.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department reports finding the body of 19-year-old Phillip Charles Kron of Riverside in rural Washington County around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Foul play isn’t suspected and an autopsy is forthcoming. Kron was missing since being involved in a single-vehicle accident Sunday night; he didn’t show up for class at Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids on Monday, prompting the all-points search. Emergency and rescue units from across Washington and Johnson County, along with the Iowa National Guard, Iowa State Patrol and Civil Air Patrol assisted in the search.
