Stratford boy killed in accident

A 13 year old boy was killed Friday after rolling a pickup on a rural central Iowa road. A rural Stratford youth died late Friday afternoon in a one vehicle accident in northern Boone county. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as 13 year old Brennan Bergman.

Reportedly Bergman had driven the family pickup to a neighbor and while returning home he lost control of the pickup rolling into the ditch. Air ambulance was dispatched but Bergman was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the Friday accident continues by Boone county authorities.
