Heelan and Spencer meet in 3A showdown

September 21, 2007 By admin

A pair of rated teams collide in class 3A district 1 as second rated Spencer hosts number-five Sioux City Heelan. Both teams have potent offenses though they styles are different. Spencer coach Jim Tighe says Heelan probably throws more, as they are a traditional I team, and his team runs the option.

Heelan coach Roger Jansen says how the Crusaders matchup against Spencer’s offense may determine the outcome. Jansen says they’ll have to take care of the football and try to control Spencer’s offense.
