Nebraska’s governor takes shot at ISU football team

September 27, 2007 By admin

Nebraska’s governor had a message for Husker fans this morning: It could be worse, they could be Iowa State. Governor Dave Heineman was responding to a question about the fans booing the Huskers in a 41-40 win over Ball State last weekend.

Heineman says Nebraskans need to keep things in perspective. "How would you like to be the University of Notre Dame (at) zero and four?, "Heineman said, "Iowa State, they got beat by Toledo," Heineman said. "We won our game."

Iowa State and Nebraska play in Lincoln this Saturday in the Big 12 season opener.
