New Hampton woman accused of spiking cheese dip

October 16, 2007 By admin

A New Hampton woman has been arrested for allegedly putting prescription drugs into another person’s snack food. The Fayette County Sheriff investigated the incident which happened at a rural West Union home on September 22nd, but wasn’t reported until three days later on the 25th.

Eighteen-year-old Jayden Schwickerath is accused of putting an antidepressant drug into a salsa/cheese dip. The drug was apparently her prescribed medication. The male victim became ill, but did not seek medical attention. A warrant was issued and West Union Police arrested Schwickerath last Friday, charging her with administering a harmful substance. She was released after posting bond.
