Nebraska man shot in Council Bluffs

October 22, 2007 By admin

A Nebraska man was hospitalized over the weekend after being shot in the neck early Sunday morning outside of a bar in Council Bluffs. According to Council Bluffs Police, 32-year-old Roberto Flores of Omaha was listed in critical condition yesterday at an Omaha Hospital following the incident at Mario’s Bar on south Main Street in Council Bluffs.

Bluff’s Police Detective Jon Clark says officers found Flores laying in the street with a gunshot wound to the neck shortly before two o’clock Sunday morning. An investigation determined Flores had gotten into an argument with a Hispanic male in his 20’s. The shooting occurred after the argument spilled over into the bar’s parking lot. Two people were shot outside a bar in Cedar Rapids early Sunday morning. The wounds were not life-threatening. Police are still looking for suspects.
