A grain elevator collapsed last night in southeast Iowa, flattening the house next door with a flood of corn and trapping a family of four inside. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received the report just after 8 Monday night, that a 519,000-bushel Chem Gro-owned grain bin fell onto the home of Jesse and Jennifer Kellet, of Hillsboro.

The Kellet home collapsed under the impact of the full bin. Jennifer and a daughter were able to crawl out of the home, while Jesse and a son had to be rescued by emergency personnel. Jesse Kellet was transported to the Henry County Health Center by ambulance.
