The Jones County Sheriff says they’re still reviewing information and at this point, no charges have been filed in a weekend shooting that left one man in the hospital. It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday near Wyoming, Iowa. According to the Jackson and Jones County Sheriff’s Departments, 23-year-old Aaron Scott of Wyoming was sitting in his pickup with a loaded handgun in his hand.

Twenty-three-year-old Brock Bowman of Maquoketa was standing outside trying to disarm Scott. During the struggle, the gun went off and the bullet went through the driver’s window and struck another man, 21-year-old Justin Mohr of Maquoketa, who was standing next to the truck. Mohr was taken to the Jackson County Hospital, the air-cared to University Hospitals in Iowa, in critical condition with serious internal injuries.
