Playing ISU fun for fans, players, not UNI coach

November 27, 2007 By admin

The UNI Panthers will be looking for their first win in Hilton Coliseum since 1997 when they visit Iowa State. The Panthers are 4-1 while the Cyclones enter with a record of 2-2. UNI coach Ben Jacobsen says both teams have gone through some injuries and had to shuffle the lineup.

Jacobsen says both have probably given away games they thought they could win. This will be his second meeting with Greg McDermott who left the Panthers to take over at ISU.

Jacobsen says,"I don’t think it’s ever gonna to be fun to play against each other, I don’t think that will ever be part of it." But Jacobsen says it will be fun for the players and the fans to continue the series. Jacobsen says they play once a year, and then go back to cheering for each other.
