Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is urging her supporters to "take a buddy" to the Iowa Caucuses on January 3rd. At a campaign event in Bettendorf Sunday, Clinton’s campaign staffers handed out "buddy cards" to the audience and Clinton herself made a personal appeal.

"You see, I want a long term relationship. I don’t want to just have a one-night-stand with all of you," Clinton said, as the audience laughed. "I want you to come out on January 3rd, and then I want you to be part of the campaign that we put together to win Iowa."

Clinton’s campaign blasted rival Barack Obama on Sunday on a variety of fronts, but Clinton herself sought to bolster her backers during her remarks in Bettendorf. "Your showing up and standing up for me makes you equal to anybody else because right then and there you have more power than somebody who might be a millionaire because you’re participating in helping to select the next president," Clinton said. Clinton is making campaign stops today in Charles City, Sioux City and Council Bluffs.
