One person injured in buggy accident

December 4, 2007 By admin

One person was injured Monday morning during a collision between a pickup and a horse-drawn buggy in southern Iowa’s Ringgold County. The Iowa State Patrol says a horse and buggy being driven by Aiden Plank, of Redding, was traveling east on Highway 169 at around 7:50-a.m., when the right front of a pickup driven by 18-year-old Adam Still, of Redding struck them from behind.

The accident happened approximately six-miles south of Mount Ayr. Plank was ejected from the buggy during the crash and the horse was killed. Still was not injured, and the accident remains under investigation. Officials say charges are pending.
