Iowa women host Hawkeye Challenge

December 7, 2007 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeye women continue a busy week as the open the Hawkeye Challenge in Iowa City against Northern Illinois. Wyoming and Saint Josephs meet in the other first round game.

Coach Lisa Bluder says Wyoming is undefeated and just moved into the polls at 25. Iowa is 5-3 after a 58-44 loss at Iowa State and Bluder says her team will continue to be tested by a demanding schedule. Bluder says it’s not wins and losses, but who you beat and who you lose to.

Bluder says you have to look at the quality of your schedule, as she says anyone can be 7-0 if they schedule it that way. She says the players understand when it’s a good win and a bad loss.
