Freeman returns to practice as Hawks prepare for Drake

December 12, 2007 By admin

Iowa coach Todd Lickliter says junior guard Tony Freeman has returned to practice leading up to Friday night’s game at home against Drake. Freeman returned from a broken foot last week against UNI then missed the game at Iowa State a few days later.

Lickliter says there are a lot of athletes that have to play with soreness, and Freeman will have to do that and gauge and see how much he can do. Lickliter says after playing, Freeman needed a day off.

Lickliter says it will be up to Freeman to decide how much he can tolerate. He says it’s a matter of tolerating the soreness and having the foot adjust to the work load again.
