Muder victim in Clinton identified

December 14, 2007 By admin

Police in Clinton have identified a body found in a downtown apartment Thursday afternoon. The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Sandra R. Chambers-Singh. Police call the death a homicide.

Investigators says Chambers-Singh’s 1998 white Dodge van was missing from its customary parking spot. The van was located in the city and impounded earlier today. Police are trying to reconstruct Chambers-Singh’s whereabouts on Thursday.

An autopsy is scheduled for today by the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to call the Clinton Police Department at 563-243-1458.
