Just days before Christmas at a Black Hawk County store, a burglar was stirring to take items galore. A Grinch apparently stole equipment and holiday gifts during a burglary at Iowa Mobile Home Service and Supply in Waterloo late Sunday night.

Owner Tim Brustkern says the Christmas presents, bought for his children and grandchildren, were being stored at the business until the holiday. Among the other items reported stolen were a generator, chop saw, copper tubing, and electrical wire. The burglary was discovered around 9 A.M. Monday. Authorities say whoever entered the business broke a plate glass door.

Black Hawk County Sheriff’s officials are investigating the burglary and are asking for the public’s help in solving the crime. Brustkern is offering a one-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever’s responsible.
