The Iowa State Cyclones are at home against Texas Southern as part of the Las Vegas Classic. The Cyclones are 5-4 after a convincing win over Bethune-Cookman on Monday night. In that game, sophomore Wesley Johnson scored 16 points and says a nagging foot injury is feeling better after he took several days off last week.

Johnson says it was a matter of getting back into shape and doing a lot of conditioning to get ready to play.  Johnson says the foot feels good right now and it’s something he has to get in his head that it is getting better.

Johnson says he is learning to have more confidence he won’t hurt it again. He says before he was very hesitant and now he knows it is getting better and he won’t injure it any more.

Texas Southern is 1-8 after a 76-56 loss at Purdue on Monday night.
