UNI holds on for win in overtime

December 20, 2007 By admin

UNI squandered an 11-point second half lead but still got a road victory on Wednesday night as they beat Missouri-Kansas City 64-60 in overtime. The Panthers dominated inside as sophomore center Jordan Egelseder finished with 19 points and senior forward Eric Coleman finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

UNI coach Ben Jacobsen on his postgame show on the UNI Sports Network says if they can get the ball inside then they’ll have Egelseder and Coleman in the game at the same time. He says this was a game where it worked well to have them both in together.

Coleman says it was a good win for the Panthers who improve to 8-2 on the season. He says they knew it was a big game for them on the road and going into the holiday break.
