Iowa opens Big Ten against Indiana

January 2, 2008 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeyes have a tough opener to start the Big Ten season when they host 11th ranked Indiana, tonight, in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes closed out non-conference play 7-6 and coach Todd Lickliter says you can’t blame him if he does not find the Hoosier’s weakness.

Lickliter says no other team has found a weakness either as they’ve only lost one game. He says it will take a great effort and you have to be very sound defensively.

Lickliter says Indiana is a difficult team to guard as they can extend your defense and you have to play out on them. Then they can go to guys inside, who Lickliter says are very efficient. He says it’s not surprising how good they are.
