Weather forecast good for Iowa Caucuses

January 3, 2008 By admin

You can’t blame mother nature for missing the caucuses tonight. “Weather’s not going to be an issue,” according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Frank Boksa. Temperatures tonight will be relatively mild for early January.

Boksa says it will be clear to partly cloudy across the state, with temperatures in the mid 20s. Southwest Iowa could have temps closer to 30. No rain or snow is expected and winds should be fairly calm.

Boksa expects winds out of the south around 10 miles per hour, “so, all in all, a pretty decent night to be out.” The forecast for Friday calls for a partly cloudy sky and high temperatures in the mid 30s and Saturday should be cloudy with highs near 40.
