An eastern Iowa man died Thursday in a snowmobile accident. Davenport police say 46-year-old David Allen King of rural Davenport was traveling along a fence line on his snowmobile when he lost control on a downhill slope at a residential driveway intersection.
The snowmobile struck the fence and King was thrown off the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. Police say King was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
