UNI looks to stay unbeaten in MVC

January 4, 2008 By admin

The UNI Panthers look to stay unbeaten in the Missouri Valley race when they visit Indiana State. Both teams are 2-0 in the league race but Panther coach Ben Jacobsen says it is still too early to label any team a title contender.

Jacobsen says it’s too early as some teams have had home games and some on the road. He says he’s happy they got a road win and protected their home court. Jacobsen says there are a lot of good teams and each team feels it has a chance to win any of the conference games.

Jacobsen says the Sycamores have been impressive with a new coach and a number of returning players and some new guys who make it a team that’s excited and playing with a lot of confidence.
