An Iowa man is charged in the murder of a Nebraska girl. Police say 15-year-old Raina Hulit of South Sioux City was missing more than week. Her body was found late Friday night in the woods near Stone State Park in Plymouth County, Iowa.

Police charged 23-year-old Matthew Hettinger with second-degree murder after he allegedly shot Hulit with a rifle January 5th during a party at his Sioux City house. The body is to be transferred to Winnebago, Nebraska, where Hulit is to have a traditional Native American burial.

It’s the third murder of a girl in Sioux City in two weeks. A weekend ago, eight-year-old Alysha Suing and her ten-year-old sister, Kendra, were allegedly killed by their stepfather, Lawrence Harris.
