Iowa State beats Missouri 72-67

January 17, 2008 By admin

Iowa State led from start to finish as the Cyclones downed Missouri 72-67 in Big-12 action in Ames on Wednesday night. Cyclone coach Greg McDermott says a key was limiting mistakes against the Tiger’s pressure defense. McDermott says it’s not just the passer, it’s the screener and cutter and everyone has to do their job or you get a turnover.

He says everyone did their job in this game and made the extra pass to respond against the pressure. McDermott says it was a solid effort by the Cyclones. McDermott says he’s "really, really proud of my team, their effort was good and our execution was good."

The Cyclones improve to 11-6 overall.
