Glenwood area man dies in fire

January 21, 2008 By admin

A Glenwood area man died in a fire late Sunday night. Mills County Sheriff Mack Taylor says the Glenwood Fire Department was called to a trailer house fire just north of the Glenwood city limits at 11:55 Sunday evening.

Firefighters found 51-year-old Jesse Jay Jenkins trapped inside the trailer and he pronounced dead at the scene. Jenkins’ body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy. Sheriff Taylor says they don’t know the cause of the fire yet, and the state fire marshal’s office has been called in to help investigate.
