UNI men win, Drake looks to move into top 25

The UNI Panthers used hot shooting and balanced scoring to snap a four game home losing streak in a 70-55 victory over Missouri State in Missouri Valley Conference action. Eric Coleman led the way with 15 points, on 7 of 9 shooting from the field.

Adam cook, Adam Viet and Jared Josten all had ten points as piece and UNI hit 57 percent from the field to improve to 3-4 in the MVC and 11-7 overall. Missouri state hit 14 three pointers but it was a cold shooting day for the Bears who hit just 31 percent for the game as they fall to 3-4 in the valley and 10-9 overall.

The Drake Bulldogs should be ranked in the AP top 25 which is released later today. The Bulldogs winning streak is now 15 games after they rallied from 12 points down in the second half to beat Illinois state 79-73 in a Missouri Valley Conference showdown on Saturday night.

Senior point guard Adam Emmenecker had a career high 19 points and helped lead the bulldogs to a 36-19 run in the second half that allowed them to take control as drake gained sole possession of the valley lead with a record of 7-0. Leonard Houston added 18 points while Kyle Korver and Bucky Cox each had 15 as the bulldogs improved to 16-1 on the season. they will visit Creighton tomorrow night.
