One day after breaking into the nation’s top 25 the Drake Bulldogs have a difficult chore, tonight, when they visit Creighton. The Bulldogs are 16-1 overall and off to a 7-0 start in the Missouri Valley Conference race while the Blue Jays have won five straight after starting conference play with two losses.

Drake coach Keno Davis says they are going to have their hands full going into this game as they have not had a lot of success playing at Creighton. But, Davis says this is a different they have and the guys are confident they can come in and play as hard as they have been playing and then see if it’s enough at the end of the game.

Davis says the players are enjoying the national attention the program has received during its 15-game winning streak. He says any publicity at Drake is hard-earned and they enjoying it, while trying to stay focused on the what they’re doing at this point.

Creighton will look to slow down Drake point guard Adam Emmenecker, who is the reigning Missouri Valley Conference player of the week. Creighton coach Dana Altman says Emmenecker drives to the basket under control and makes things happen, and plays to those strengths very, very well.
