The Iowa State Cyclones continue a road trip to the state of Kansas when they visit Kansas State. The Cyclones are 2-2 after an 80-59 loss at second rated Kansas. The Wildcats are 3-0 in the Big 12 and 13-4 overall.

ISU coach Greg McDermott says it will be a tough game as the Wildcats have some of the best young players in the country. He says the Cyclones need a better effort on the defensive end. McDermott says if they keep working and executing the plan, then they should come out alright. The Cyclones are 12-7 overall.

The Iowa Hawkeyes will be at home on Saturday against Penn State. The Hawkeyes are 2-5 in the Big Ten after a loss earlier this week at Indiana. Iowa coach Todd Lickliter says they’ve responded well to loses, and he says he wishes they could respond well to wins. He says they need to win, respond well, and win another.

Penn State is 2-4 in the conference race and still trying to regroup after standout forward Geary Claxton suffered a season ending knee injury. Iowa is 9-11 overall.
