Johanna Solverson poured in a career high 28 points as the Iowa Hawkeye women held off Michigan 66-61 in Big Ten action Sunday in Iowa City. Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says Solverson played extremely well, hitting all of her free throws, and shooting well, as she carried the team early on.

Solverson says the Hawkeyes survived a cold shooting opening half by taking care of the ball. The only had 9 turnovers and Bluder says she can’t remember the last time they had turnovers that weren’t in the double digits. Iowa is 6-3 in the Big Ten and 13-7 overall.
