A rematch of a title match highlighted the class 1A quarterfinals at the state high school wrestling tournament. Don Bosco’s Bart Reiter kept his hopes alive for a third consecutive state championship by beating Cameron Wagner of Belle Plaine at 125 pounds. Reiter beat Wagner in the championship round last year.

Reiter says they’ve been wrestling each other since they’ve been in third grade. Is there added pressure going for a third title? Reiter says, "Not really, it’s just the same as every other year." Don Bosco qualified 12 competitors for the tournament.

All 12 are still in either the championship or consolation round. Reiter says things are going good, as they expected to have 12 place winners.

Don Bosco has a 93 to 41.5 lead over New London in the 1A team standings.
